Meet Enrique Darancou, DDS
BackgroundDr. Enrique Darancou loves the rich culture of El Paso, Texas and the incredible people who make the city so great. His love for the Sun City began at an early age when he lived and and later visited his family in the neighboring city of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico
Education & ServiceDr. Darancou graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He is committed to learning and maintaining the highest level of dentistry. His practice uses the latest digital dentistry via CEREC to make same day crowns. He has taken pediatric sedation courses to help his younger patients. He is a Fellow with the International Dental Implant Association. He is a member of the Foundation of Bioesthetic Dentistry (OBI), which specializes in the cause of worn teeth and TMJ. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA) and the El Paso Dental Society.
He has dedicated many hours to serving his community and those less fortunate, both at home and abroad. He has volunteered as a dentist for, Siguiendo los Pasos de Jesus (SPJ), a local non-profit organization that provides medical/dental care to poverty-stricken communities of Ciudad Juarez. He has volunteered as a dentist for the most recent 2018 Mission of Mercy, at Jefferson High School, to serve El Paso's undeserved dental population. He is actively engaged with the new Texas Tech Dental School. He has served as a Spanish interpreter for medical personnel for cleft palate surgeries in Ensenada, Mexico. Dr. Darancou has provided dental services to lower-income areas in the Dominican Republic and El Salvador. He taught English as a second language (ESL) to several communities in the Tucson, Arizona area.
Family & PersonalDr. Darancou's family origins are in the El Paso area. Dr. Darancou has lived in Ciudad Juarez, Chih.; Los Angeles, California, Orem, Utah; and Iowa City, Iowa. He and his wife Angela have been married for ten years and have three children: Enrique, Valentina, and Viviana. Dr. Darancou and his family consider El Paso their home and are active members of the community. Dr. Darancou's hobbies include spending time with his family, running, fishing, and coaching local AYSO soccer.
