While the fundamental principles behind Invisalign® and braces are similar, they differ tremendously in how the forces are generated to move your teeth. Instead of wearing fixed silver-colored brackets and wires, Invisalign® patients “simply slip” oral appliances or aligners over their teeth. These aligners are transparent. So they blend in with the rest of the teeth. They are also precisely custom-fitted and made from a non-toxic, smooth, and flexible advanced plastic for utmost comfort. 

These aligners can be removed when eating, brushing, and flossing. This feature makes it easy to keep up with proper oral care and good nutrition throughout treatment. Just be sure to put the aligners back in right away after meals and cleaning your teeth, and the aligner trays themselves.
