- Ultrasonic Scaler
- Intraoral Scanner
Advanced digital imaging
At El Paso Modern Dentistry, we use digital radiography—including the advanced Orthophos SL 3D system—as a safe, fast, and highly accurate alternative to traditional X-rays. This technology produces sharp, 3D images that give us a detailed, panoramic view of your teeth, gums, and surrounding structures. Patients benefit from a more comfortable scanning experience and significantly lower radiation exposure. With enhanced image quality and early detection capabilities, we’re able to identify issues like hidden decay or other concerns early, allowing for prompt and effective treatment.

CEREC (“same-day” crowns)
At other dental offices, getting a crown usually takes at least two appointments—but not at El Paso Modern Dentistry. With our in-house CEREC system, we can prepare, design, create, and place your permanent crown in a single visit. CEREC uses computer-aided technology and specialized software to design your new tooth, which is then crafted from a high-quality block of porcelain right in our office. Any necessary adjustments are made on-site before the crown is securely placed. This efficient process eliminates the need for temporary crowns and return visits.

Gentle laser dentistry
Lasers are used in many different medical applications, including at the dental office. We use AMD Lasers®. These systems are generally designed to promote a non-invasive and painless experience before, during, and after dental treatment. Lasers provide a targeted way to sterilize and eradicate harmful bacteria and contour and remove diseased tissues. They are associated with minimal bleeding, discomfort, and side effects. Additionally, lasers support conservative treatment by preserving natural, healthy tissues.

Comfortable injections
Shots to administer numbing local anesthetic are a common source of dental fear and anxiety for many patients. That’s why, at El Paso Modern Dentistry, we use a revolutionary system called The Wand® to deliver anesthetic in a way that’s virtually painless. This pen-like device is a modern alternative to traditional needles and syringes, and its sleek, non-threatening design helps reduce fear before treatment even begins. The Wand® also allows us to apply the anesthetic more slowly, precisely, and comfortably—targeting exactly where it’s needed without numbing large areas unnecessarily. It’s just one more way we prioritize your comfort at every visit.

Ultrasonic Scaler
The ultrasonic scaler is a powerful tool we use to remove stubborn plaque and tartar from your teeth. Plaque is a bacteria-filled film that builds up throughout the day and can be removed by brushing and flossing. However, when left untreated, it hardens into tartar—a tough, damaging substance that’s much harder to remove. The ultrasonic scaler uses gentle vibrations to break up and wash away even the most stubborn buildup, helping us keep your smile clean and healthy at every visit.

Primescan Intraoral Scanner
The intraoral camera is exactly what the name implies—a small, high-resolution camera that we use to capture and display real-time images of the inside of your mouth. It’s a powerful tool that helps bridge the gap between what we see as dental professionals and what you understand as a patient. Sometimes, detailed explanations alone can make it hard to visualize what’s happening in a specific area of your mouth. With the intraoral camera, we can project clear, magnified images onto a computer monitor, allowing you to see exactly what we’re referring to. This not only improves communication but also empowers you to make more informed decisions about your dental care.
